masterycode.com is operated by Unbound Education, Inc., a public benefit corporation (“we”). This policy explains what we collect when you use the site, why, who else handles it, and the choices you have. Questions go to info@masterycode.com.
What we collect, and when
- Who Is Holding the Pen? The assessment runs in your browser. Nothing is stored unless you give your email to receive your result. If you do, we keep your email address, your result, your seven readings, your answers, and whether you agreed to research use.
- The flourishing measure. Nothing is sent or stored unless you ask for your readings by email. If you do, we keep your email address, your three readings, your answers and the date.
- The contact form. Your name, email address, the topic you choose and your message.
- Purchases. Your name, email address and billing details. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. If you begin a purchase and leave before paying, we may send one reminder to the email address you entered.
- Accounts and courses. If you enroll in Mastery Lessons Guild, your account details and your course progress.
- Month closes and pauses. If you are a Guild member, the few lines you write to close each month, and the date and length of any pause you take. We keep them with your account, for your own record, to open your next month, and to send you one reminder if a month stays open. Mastery Code’s administrators can see them, as they can see everything stored on the site, but they are not read as they come in, and they are never given to the Daimon or any other AI tool.
- Cookies. The site uses cookies needed for logins, the cart and checkout, and to understand in aggregate how the site is used. We also use Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors move through the site, such as clicks, scrolling and the pages they view, so we can see where it is hard to use. Clarity masks what you type into forms, and we do not use it to identify you.
How we use it
To send you the result or readings you asked for, answer your messages, fulfill what you buy, give you access to your course, and send the emails you requested or that relate to your purchase. If you agreed to research use on the assessment, your answers may be studied without your name or email attached. We do not sell your personal information.
Who else handles it
We rely on service providers who process information on our behalf: our web host; Stripe for payments; SendLayer to deliver the site’s emails; our email service provider, Kit, if you subscribe to our emails; Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, which measure how the site is used; and Delphi, which runs the Daimon for members. Each handles your information under its own terms. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
The Daimon
The Daimon, the AI reflection companion available to members, runs on Delphi, a commercial service, under Delphi’s own privacy policy and terms. Delphi stores conversations on servers in the United States and may use what people write to improve its service. Mastery Code does not own or operate Delphi. In Mastery Lessons Guild, Ruben does not read members’ conversations with the Daimon; in the Council, he reads them before each Reading. Keep health and money figures, other people’s private lives, and anything you would tell only a clinician out of it. Using it is your choice.
Health and money information
We never ask you to put health or money figures into an AI tool. Data from a wearable stays with you; members share only the summaries they choose to send.
How long we keep it
We keep information for as long as we need it for the purpose you gave it, or as the law requires. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by writing to info@masterycode.com. Every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe.
Children
This site and its programs are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with its date.
