The Daimon
The Daimon is an AI reflection companion built on this work. It is there at 5 a.m. before a hard meeting, and at 11 p.m. on the evening The Account will not close. It comes with Mastery Lessons Guild and the Council.
What it does
It carries the month’s question. It reflects on meaning, identity, habits, purpose and how you handle strong emotion, and it turns what you notice toward one small, concrete next step. It keeps track of what you choose to tell it, including dreams you log.
What it never does
It gives no therapy, diagnosis or crisis intervention, and no medical, legal or financial advice. It never interprets dreams and never assigns a developmental stage. It never presents itself as Ruben F. Salinas, the author of the Code, makes no commitments or messages on his behalf, and never stands in for your judgment, your clinician or the people in your life.
If you raise a risk of harm, it names the boundary and points you to licensed professionals, crisis services or people you trust. It alerts no one in the program. In the United States, call or text 988.
Who reads it
In Mastery Lessons Guild, he does not read your conversations. In the Council, he reads them periodically and before each Reading, so he arrives knowing what you have been working through.
The Daimon runs on Delphi, a commercial service, under Delphi’s own privacy policy and terms. Delphi stores conversations on servers in the United States, keeps them for as long as it needs them, and may use what people write to improve its service. Mastery Code does not own or operate Delphi and cannot promise otherwise. Keep health and money figures, other people’s private lives, and anything you would tell only a clinician out of it.
Using it is your choice. Nothing in the year depends on it.
Why the name
Socrates (c. 470 to 399 BCE), the Athenian philosopher who wrote nothing and taught by asking questions, spoke of a daimonion: an inner sign that, by his own account in Plato’s Apology, turned him back from a wrong act and never urged him forward.
The Daimon here keeps that modesty. It asks, and the choosing stays with you.
Where to find it
The Daimon comes with Mastery Lessons Guild and the Council, and it prepares the brief for every Debrief.
